Traveling to Ireland in November.

I'm taking my first trip to Ireland this November (during Thanksgiving, actually). I'm starting in Dublin, then going up to Belfast, then back down to Dublin, then to Cork.

There are a few specific things I'm looking for when I go there. My dad loves shillelaghs and I'd love to get him an authentic one while I'm in Ireland. Can anyone recommend a place that has hand carved shillelaghs?

Also, tattoo shop. Can anyone recommend a good one in any of the cities I'm going to?

Thank you!

I am also planning a trip in November to Ireland.. however I am planning on doing it more in early November and I'm trying to do a tour for my first trip, just to give me a lay of the land type thing and to get the touristy things out of the way for future trips

Absolutely. I don't know if you're going to Northern Ireland but in Belfast, I'm taking a cab tour of the Peace Wall area, which was featured on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations...it sounds amazing.

There are a couple of good tattoo artists in Dublin, theres a great polish couple in Portobello who do amazing things.

Uh oh- If you're an Anthony Bourdain fan, you might be disappointed in Dublin. Dublin food isn't what foodies would consider... um... what's the word? Palatable. Heh heh.
